Arena: John Lloyd reports that we need new bearings in the front tower, fluid needs to come out of the subsoil, and we will also need a new tank. Holland was called regarding the leaking gutters and ceiling.

Dave explains proposal for a new PA System. The proposal is from DB Acoustics. This company has a good reputation. (Kinick stadium) They are familiar with our arena. They installed our original system in 1986. The bid is for $8,078. Installation could be done right after we open, it would only take 5-7 days to complete. Dave will update the Outlaws with this proposal and see if they would be willing to help pay for it. PA system tabled until next meeting.

Dave also mentions that Worth Co. grant applications are being accepted from July- September. We need to get some grant writing done. Especially since our heating system needs to be replaced. Pam will ask Deb Lassise to write up the grants.

Dave would like to see new food items offered this fall. Have “Mohawk and Outlaw” nights. With a portable grill, have brats, hamburgers, pulled pork, or even chicken. Discussion was held. A concession committee was formed: Dave Hepperly, Kristin McHenry & John Lloyd.

Selection of Committee Chairs: Susie motions to accept the following list of committee chairs. Craig seconds. All are in favor, motion approved.

High School: John Wagner reports that he attended the spring meeting on May 5 th. Two new teams have been voted in: Kansas City Jr. Stars and TriCity- Karney , Nebraska . There are two divisions now: an East and a West. The Mohawks are in the East division. We are down to 32 games. We will play everyone in the East division 3 times and in the West division twice. The Omaha Jr. Lancers have dropped out, and the league is back down to 13 teams. John reinforced that all coaches will have to have helmets while on the ice. (We enforced this USA Hockey rule last year.) Delayed offsides are still waiting approval for the High School level.

Youth Hockey: Stacie reported that the results from the association were in regarding the name change for our travel program. The winner is: Jr. Mohawks. Bob motions that we change our travel teams name to the Jr. Mohawks. Jerry seconds. All are in favor. Motion approved.

Pam presented the bid for new Travel jerseys. We will go through Wayne ’s Ski and Cycle working with Matt Curtis. The jerseys will cost $47 each. We would also like the logo to be hand sewn on for an extra $3 per jersey. We would order 200 jerseys at $50 = $10,000. Keep red, black, and white colors. An assigned board member will be in charge of the checkout/in process of the jerseys. The committee proposes a $50 deposit would be required when the jersey is picked up. Upon return of the jersey at the end of the year their deposit would be returned at that time. John Wagner motions to buy new travel jerseys per the bid. Susie seconds the motion. All are in favor. Motion approved. Pam will check to see if we can also have the mandatory STOP patches placed on the jerseys. Otherwise, we will have to have order the patches and have them put on after they come in.

Parades: Bandfest went well. The Clear Lake 4 th of July parade is coming up next.

Golf Outing: Need 5 more Hole sponsors. There is room for 10 more Tee box sponsors. We are 5-6 teams short. We need more prizes!
