Snowplow Sam

The Snowplow Sam Program is designed for those young skaters who are not able to skate across the rink without assistance. Skaters need to be age 4 by September 15th.

Basic Badge 1-8, Freestyle 1-4 Program

The purpose of the Badge Program is to encourage and increase the skater's skill and knowledge through a progressive badge level system.

Advanced

Advanced skaters are those who have progressed past Freestyle 4.

Moves in the Field

Moves is a testing component in compulsory figures. It is a very important step in control and mastery of skating.

Power

Power employs a cardiovascular workout that increases the strength, endurance, and speed of a skater.

Precision Lines

The SPRITES precision line may include any skater who has completed Badge Level 6 (prior to the start of the skating season).

The SPIRIT precision line members must be in grade 6 or above and passed the Pre-preliminary freestyle test and designated moves in the field (before November 1). Those who can perform certain criteria in footwork, kicks, and power, as established by the professional instructor, are eligible to be in Spirit.

Newsletter and Bulletin Board

The Board of Directors issues a newsletter and schedule three times during the skating season. This publication contains information regarding all the upcoming events scheduled for the Club. Scheduling changes do occur so it is important to check the NIFSC bulletin board I the concession area on a regular basis for any changes and news that might occur between newsletters.
